Ave Maria Academy is proud to be the exclusive Catholic school in the South Hills to integrate the St. Anthony School Programs into its student body. This amazing program is a Catholic-based inclusive educational environment for children ages K-8 with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and/or other intellectual disabilities.
For over 65 years, St. Anthony School Programs has been helping students of all faiths with intellectual disabilities live their lives to the fullest academically, socially, occasionally, and spiritually. The program emphasizes inclusion and allows each student to participate in regular classes at their host school based on his/her individual abilities. In addition to interacting with peers in the classroom, St. Anthony's students have the opportunity to participate in all school-sponsored activities and extracurricular sports and clubs.
We cherish the St. Anthony's Program and the value it brings to our school. The inclusion of the St. Anthony's Kids promotes understanding, compassion, and empathy within our entire community.
Admission to the St. Anthony School Program is separate from Ave Maria Academy. If you have questions about admission into the St. Anthony School Program please call the St. Anthony Program office at 724-940-9020.
